Find out how you can
Sponsor A Rottweiler!

Update July 6, 2008

Zorro is ready to find his 4everhome now that his health and weight (79 pounds) are perfect for a 2 year old neutered male Rottweiler. Zorro had a difficult start in his previous life but his great demeanor and love towards all humans, children included, always showed itself. He is crate trained, walks very politely on lead, greets other canine well and is a perfect playmate. Zorro is a gentleman when he goes on automobile rides and will wait patiently for your return while you do your errand. He is very Velcro with excellent recall and would be a great companion to have on trail hikes. Zorro has been introduced to cats and had no negative reaction to them, he stayed very calm. Zorro has a very unique look with his dark black markings but his appearance is very appealing and when strangers meet him he draws them in with his fly away ears, very soft eye contact and good looks. He also enjoys water sports and has been swimming. Zorro can go to a 4everhome as an only canine or as a playmate for another canine. If Zorro sounds like a canine that your family has been searching for then you should meet Zorro and let him show you how much he has to offer. Zorro is spending time in Southern NH with his 3 Rottweiler friends and Foster family.

Update June 15, 2008

It has been 3 weeks since Zorro had his Heartworm treatment and he is doing very well. He current weight is at 82 lbs. which is the correct weight for his body size. He is a happy and a loving canine that greets and meets other canines with good canine etiquette. He enjoys being around children, playing with other canines and is a very velcro canine with excellent recall. Zorro went for a swim in a local pond yesterday so he enjoys water sports as well. He will be introduced to cats to see how his behavior is towards them and he will be taking some long walks on the Beach in the coming weeks. Zorro is on schedule to become available for adoption in 3 weeks or less.

Meet Zorro, a neutered male Rottweiler that is approximately 16 months old.

Zorro did not have a very good start in his previous life. He came into NERR&R a starved and very underweight canine at only 52 pounds. He had a very weak skeleton and not much zest for life because his previous owners did not give him proper care. Zorro had no muscle tone at all and to add to his woes he was Heartworm positive. The treatment for Zorro's Heartworm condition could not start until Zorro gained strength and an additional 20 pounds.

Zorro's life changed forever on 4/11/08 when he was accepted into the NERR&R Foster program. He now weighs 76 lbs. He is a very happy canine that shows much love to whomever he meets. He had his expensive heartworm treatment last week. It is now rest and relaxation for him for the next 4-5 weeks.

Zorro is not available at this moment for immediate adoption because of his mandatory medical rest requirement after Heartworm treatment.

Stay tuned for updates on Zorro's progress.
