Adult Rottweilers
Sarge
Sarge is originally a mid-west guy, moving to New England when there were too many dogs there. This 6 year old handsome lug-o-rottweiler is very affectionate and sweet, and loves to cuddle. Sarge is strong on lead, and could use some basic obedience work - but what he lacks in commands, he makes up for in personality. Sarge is particularly fond of stuffed footballs, and will entertain himself for some time. He is social with other dogs his own size, and untested with small animals. Kids over 10 for Sarge's new family.
Sarge's foster mom says: "He is coming into himself -- he actually barked and howled with the pack one morning and islearning to play with me. He does continue to follow me through the house and recently likes to kiss my oldest daughter.
He is 100 percent crate trained and house trained. Christmas morning he did the I have to go out dance and indeed he did. He tried to steal the 3 year old's remote control My Little Pony Plane". The 3 year got her toys and he got a treat.
He does sit and down on command, but doesn't stay very well. Despite his size I can walk him most of the time with out a Gentle Leader. He loves treats so training at times is easy. Personally I think he is on the way to making a CGC and/or TDI."

Jitterbug
Jitter is also one of our favorites. This adorable 3 year old girl was abandoned at her vet's office before landing in a mid-west rescue. Jitter is sweet, and while in rescue, found herself on the short end of feedings and toys. Jitter knows many commands and even some parlor tricks, and is social with other dogs her own size. Jitter is very willing to trade anything for a cookie, and is a quick learner. Jitter would do best with another dog who is already trained and not a bully, and a family with older or no kids. Jitter wants so much to please - but at a young age lost too much consistency and wants to find that again.
