Update 3/2/10
Hi to everyone - it's Cleo again! I am enjoying life in western MA by romping in the snow, eating, sleeping...then more eating and sleeping! I am a good little girl who knows her manners and is attached to her foster mom.
I am not fond of my foster sister Kira (NERR 1451), and unless you have a really laid back male I would prefer to be an "only dog". I am very loving with humans and oh so velcro!
I am always a hit at the Rottweiler Day events in Keene, NH and really like the attention and treats I get!!
Still patiently awaiting my forever family...
Hello to everyone! My name is Cleo.
I was in a terrible shelter for a very long time, waiting so patiently for a kind soul to take some interest in me. Then an angel named Kathy arrived, a volunteer who spent countless hours over a 2 year span caring for me (and my fellow dogs), walking me and, most importantly, loving me (and who still does even though the miles separate us). I will never forget her kindness and how she was the link to my foster care.
I am so happy to have my very own deep padded bed in my crate, and more stuffed toys than I can handle. As a petite and pert lady of 7 years, I am still lively and love my walks. I have Hip Dysplasia, but I am carefully managed and am enjoying my new life with my foster Mom, Therese, and my foster sister, Kira (NERR 1451).
I am not too great with cats, but I do tolerate them. Although I adore children of all ages, I am better with older ones who know not to rough-house and hurt my hips. I love to fetch my toys and return them when tossed, and I arrange them in my crate on a daily basis.
My manners are wonderful, but I do like to shred my toys and paper sometimes when I feel like it, so my foster Mom keeps a watchful eye on me. I do not sit on the comfy couches or cruise the kitchen for tasty morsels. I am a good girl.
I will shadow you, and love you, if you give me a chance. I so want my own forever home and am wondering if you are that person/home??
