Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing
that you have received - only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and
courage.

Linus (NERR&R #755)~ 12/15/99-8/9/11

Linus was adopted on 6/27/2000 after being fostered for a few weeks. He was a special selection made by our female rottie Sheba who passed away from a sudden stroke on 8/3/02 at the age of 14. Since that time he had been my constant companion, I don’t know what we would have done if we didn’t have him in our life when we lost our beloved Sheba of ten years. He was such a goodwill ambassador for the breed; everyone that came in contact with him absolutely loved him! When he would meet people he would greet them with a soft kiss on the hand and his wiggle bum and tail were in constant motion. He was such a happy dog; even while battling his lung cancer.
On Tuesday, August 9th, Linus Hewitt-Marchio, peacefully and loving passed on from this life, in the arms of his mother and father, accompanied by his younger brother Xannon after battling a long illness from lung cancer for a year and half. Linus will be truly be missed by his family and friends.

Izzabella (NERR&R #1220)

We lost our "Bella" on 9/7/2010. We adopted Izzabella on 2/22/2004 after meeting her and her wonderful fostermom, Lexie. It was a bumpy ride at first but Izzy quickly became a big part of our family. She was a sweet, gentle, loving girl who always wanted to be where ever her "people" were. She especially loved the cold weather and snow and playing with her best friend, Bear Bear. There will forever be a void in our hearts and home, she left us way to soon. Our sweet Bella, we love you and miss you so much. Until we meet again....
Love - Sue, Vinnie, Shawn, Josh and Olivia

Roscoe

In honor of my best friend who I lost yesterday (Jan 30, 2010) at the age of 12. His name was Roscoe and I'd had him since he was 10 weeks old. He was one of the true loves of my life and my best friend. I am struggling to imagine what life will be like without him, but know he is in a better place. “We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan." Irving Townsend

Rio (NERR # 551)

Rio Moon or "Rio" when she was adopted in November 1999 was a sweet, wonderful rottie who loved to work,
loved to sun, and loved to eat. She came into my life, filling it with joy. She was with me when I married
and didn't seem to mind the other pooches that joined our household. I will miss how she would push her way
between my legs and pop her head up for a treat. On August 3, 2008, she slipped away from me, peacefully passing
in her sleep. We all miss her very much and my heart is broken with grief. Sleep well, Moon Girl!
Love, Kristine

Chili NERR&R #1327 - August 2004

Special thanks to the following sponsors of Chili's Memorial:
The Siegel Family: Steve, Patti, Lokie, Chisel and Molly (NERR&R #1328)
Deborah Hall
Chili was suffering from more than heartworm disease,
a growth was found in her abdomen. Since Chili was a
very sick dog, NERR&R decided that it was in her best
interest to end her suffering in a humane manner, rather
than have her go through treatment for more than one
life threatening illness with an unfavorable outcome.
Chili found her way to the Rainbow Bridge in the hands
of her foster mom who made her last days special and
full of TLC.
